Paul is the Director of Box Twenty and is a Chartered Building Services Engineer with over 20 years experience within the industry.
He is an experienced Project Director and Design Manager with experience on large multi-discipline, phased and complex projects.
His technical, commercial and leadership skills are paramount in the effective delivery and management of all projects from concept through to completion.
Paul has successfully managed key projects in the Residential, Commercial, Education, Public Sector and Leisure sectors.
He can bring this extensive experience from within these sectors to all projects where an alternative approach can be advantageous.
Paul enjoys cycling, golf and going camping in France and within the UK with his family.
Oliver is an Associate Mechanical Engineer with 13 years experience. He is an experienced Project Director and manages multi-disciplinary teams.
He is an effective and confident communicator and has a passionate interest in sustainable design and believes strongly in the benefits of a holistic approach to building services and architecture.
He has key experience of developing robust energy strategies at the concept stage of projects to meet challenging sustainability targets and has a proven track record of seeing these strategies through to completion and handover.
Oliver is father of four girls and outside of work enjoys spending time with his family.
Dan is an Associate Electrical Engineer with 19 years’ experience. He is an experienced Designer and Project Director and is able to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Dan has worked in a range of market sectors and across all of the design stages of a project. He enjoys nothing more than working on technically challenging projects such as those in the Healthcare sector.
Dan takes a keen interest in the buildability of a design from the earliest design stages and actively engages with the entire project team to deliver a successful project. He also enjoys leading technical discussions within the team on new standards, products and design solutions.
Dan is married and a father of two children. He enjoys spending as much time as possible having fun with his children and in the summer months this means a lot of weekend camping trips and time in the family caravan in Cornwall.
Director's PA & Team Admin
Sam has been part of the Box Twenty team since August 2018. She is the PA to Paul Weston and is an experienced administrator for the whole team.
Sam enjoys being creative with the company's branding for the Marketing & Communications here at Box Twenty and is always updating our social media sites for our followers to keep them up to date. She is currently studying her Chartership in Marketing.
In her spare time, Sam is a Cub Scout Leader for her local troop and enjoys travelling and being outdoors.
Matt has 10 years’ experience and has led electrical service design on schemes from listed refurbishments to large new build mixed-use developments.
He brings extensive technical knowledge across a broad spectrum of electrical services systems and their effective integration with other building services disciplines.
Matt is a qualified electrician and calls upon his extensive on-site and contract management experience to tailor design solutions to provide best value and optimum buildability.
In addition to design services he is competent in undertaking dilapidation and condition surveys at all stages of the building life cycle, compiling reports tailored to suits the specific needs of the client.
In his spare time Matt likes to travel and enjoys partaking in outdoor pursuits including hiking, wakeboarding and jet skiing.
Peter is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with over 40 years experience in nearly all aspects of mechanical engineering design.
His interests include innovative design solutions with a passion to provide energy efficient solutions.
Past projects have also required high ‘availably and reliability’ of the plant to support ‘government high security’ installations.
Peter’s breadth of experience makes him an excellent problem solver and a great mentor for the others within the team.
Peter enjoys spending weekends at his caravan and taking his dog “Toby” for long walks.
Andrew has a BEng(Hons) in Electrical Engineering and a MSc in Sustainable Electrical Building Services. He has over 12 years design experience.
He has worked for a control panel manufacturer, an electrical utility provider, and for both international and small-scale building services consultancies. He has experience in a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, public services, education, residential, commercial, and light industrial. Andrew is an advanced user of a variety of software tools including AutoCAD, DiaLUX and Amtech, and is also a Revit user.
Andrew enjoys a wide variety of outdoor pursuits and is trying to maintain his fitness alongside entertaining his young son and renovating a house.
Nick recently joined the team and has been working on early stage office projects. Prior to this he worked with several high-profile integrated architectural and structural design practices in London.
Other previous work experience includes being Head of Engineering for a private hospital and several years as an Electrician where he was involved in domestic through to industrial installations. Nick has been involved in the design and engineering of a wide variety of projects utilising complex BIM models as an advanced Revit and Dynamo user.
He has recently gained Incorporated Engineer status and membership of CIBSE and is looking to gain CEng status in the near future.
He is hoping to be able to do more wakeboarding and surfing since moving back to the south west.
Jocelyn is recently chartered and has 4 years’ Building Services experience. She gained an MEng in Engineering Design from the University of Bristol.
She has experience across a number of sectors including renewable energy, aerospace, automotive, manufacturing and heritage.
She is truly passionate about her work and her favourite part is working with clients to understand project objectives and using her creative side. She is an experienced user of AutoCAD and Sketchup which allow her to create interactive visuals for projects.
Jocelyn is also a UK/US dual-national and loves travel, food and music. She has sailed across the Atlantic and currently leads the violas in the Bristol Metropolitan Orchestra and the Insight Ensemble.
Patrycja has 4 years’ experience in Building Services Engineering. She has been involved in designing building services from conception to completion.
These included heating, ventilation, water services and above ground drainage. Projects have included residential buildings, schools, universities, offices and hospitals.
Patrycja also has experience in writing mechanical specification using NBS software, conducting site surveys and client meetings. She is experienced in TAS software to design thermal models and calculate thermal performance, CO2 emission rates, energy consumption in compliance with BREEAM, TM52 and Building regulations Approval.
Gosia has five years' experience in Building Services Engineering. She gained BSc(Hons) from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in Poland.
She has worked on a variety of projects in the residential, commercial and leisure sectors. Gosia enjoys working as part of the team and tackling new challenges on her own.
Gosia's interest includes sustainable design and energy efficient solutions. She is currently in the second year of her Master's in Environmental Design of Buildings at Cardiff University.
When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her family and walk her dog along the seaside.
Yuting joined the Box Twenty team in February 2019 and is a MSc graduate with an architecture and engineering background.
She is enthused and ambitious for learning about sustainable building design and efficient building services.
Yuting is skilled in both architectural design and building energy simulation software, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, Sefaira, PHPP, IES VE, Design Builder and EnergyPlus (E+.
Yuting enjoys photography and travelling, she has been to more than 10 different countries. Yuting also enjoys spending lots of her free time doing oil drawings and wool weaving.
BIM/ CAD Manager
Luke has 10 years’ experience with a Revit and AutoCAD background. With his new found love for BIM he has recently joined the Box Twenty team.
As the only BIM & CAD support in the team, he has worked on projects ranging from residential, healthcare to commercial. With skills in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM Co-ordination and great passion for standards he is vital to the team.
Luke is a great fan of cycling and camping and when he is not out in nature he takes on his second role as the office joker very seriously to keep the teams spirts high.
Sam started her 10 week internship with the company at the end of May. She is currently in her third year of the four year Architecture and
programme at UWE and is looking forward to getting some hands-on Environmental Engineering experience.
She is particularly interested in supporting the successful integration of low carbon building services into practical and beautiful architectural design, and is excited to see a more holistic and collaborative approach to construction being adopted across the industry.
She has some experience in a variety of design and engineering software packages including the Adobe suite, sketchUp, AutoCAD, IES VE, and Revit and is keen to build on these skills, and has particular interests in biophyllic design, acoustics and passive design solutions for energy reduction.
She likes to take advantage of any opportunity to explore and her spare time is usually spent doing this with her dog, or out on the bike. Otherwise she is running the sub aqua (scuba diving) club at the university, and has diving with manta rays and whale sharks at the top of her bucket list.
Gadget has 3.5 years’ experience of sleeping, eating and running, with a degree from the Forever Hounds Trust in Sofa Surfing.
Retired from racing he has been the office dog at Box Twenty for the last 18 months. Gadget has been working hard on his technique to ensure that a full 7.5 hours of sleep is carried out each day at the office. He takes the occasional break for strokes and treats from his doting colleagues.
